Update to JCC Alerts System
From Chris KC4CMR
The county will launch an improved JCC Alert system next week.
JCC Alert is now part of the CodeRED network, which enables county officials to quickly deliver emergency alerts and notifications. JCC Alert also gives individuals and businesses the capability to add their own contact information directly into the system allowing each user to control how they receive emergency notifications. Landline, cell and Internet telephones and email addresses can all receive important emergency alerts and notifications.
County emergency officials will send a message to every county household and business on Sept. 30 at approximately 11 a.m., encouraging everyone to register for the service on http://www.jccalert.org. Anyone who is already subscribed will need to update his or her information.
Registering for JCC Alert is voluntary and data collected will only be used for emergency notification purposes.
